Watch — Privacy-First Moyoung / Da Fit Companion

A native Android wearable companion built around raw Bluetooth Low Energy protocol handling, aggressive reconnection, health data integration and offline-first local storage.

What this project is

The project targets Moyoung / Da Fit-compatible smartwatches and describes compatibility across brands that use that protocol family. It combines BLE scanning and packet handling with Health Connect, local Room/DataStore persistence, background reconnection and a watch-triggered phone-finding workflow.

Why Neubofy publishes it

Watch shows a different side of Neubofy engineering: reverse-engineering or implementing a device protocol, maintaining a long-lived BLE connection, converting wearable data into a local health model, and building an Android experience without requiring a vendor cloud account.

What the system demonstrates

Raw BLE protocol work

Dedicated protocol and packet-management classes for Moyoung / Da Fit devices rather than depending solely on the vendor companion app.

Zero-touch connectivity

BLE scanning, automatic reconnection and background recovery mechanisms designed to restore the link without opening the app.

Health Connect

Read/write integration for steps, heart rate, sleep, oxygen saturation, distance and blood pressure data types declared in the app.

Local-first data

Room and DataStore keep the application’s data model on-device.

Find-phone SOS

A watch-driven emergency behavior using synchronized sound, vibration and flashlight patterns.

Android services

Connected-device foreground service, boot receiver and notification listener provide the plumbing for persistent companion behavior.

Native UX

Jetpack Compose and Material 3 provide a dedicated interface rather than a thin wrapper around a vendor app.

Architecture & engineering evidence

The source tree exposes protocol handlers, parsers, repositories, BLE services, health managers, database code, background services and test coverage. That combination is meaningful evidence of low-level integration plus application-layer product engineering.

100% Kotlin • Jetpack Compose / Material 3 • BLE • Moyoung protocol • Room • DataStore • Health Connect • WorkManager • Android foreground services

What this says about Neubofy

  • Ability to move from protocol-level device integration to user-facing product behavior.
  • Offline/local-first design can be applied outside conventional productivity software.
  • Health-related data handling is integrated with platform-level privacy controls.
  • Testing and background-service behavior are considered part of the product, not post-launch polish.

Positioning note

Compatibility depends on the exact wearable firmware and protocol behavior. Health data shown in the application is device- and permission-dependent; this project should not be presented as a medical device or as clinically validated health software.
